You can try exercise and cold showers as an immediate solution and then make research on the internet (I would recommend to begin with a youtube chanel called What I Learned)
Do something you like and feel ease? Don't think about things that depressing you! Usually I will fill my stomach with my fav food and will take a nap when I am upset or if something depressing me. Next morning or after waking I will wakeup with smiling and bright :-)

Depression doesn't have one quick and simple solution such as eating your favorite food or doing your favorite things, depression can make those things no longer fun or enjoyable anymore (speaking from experience). I cope with it by constantly changing up my schedule and trying out different things

Depression can be caused by constant nagging if it gives the recipient a feeling of worthlessness. Constant nagging can also burn a bridge because the recipient may feel like they can't trust the nagger to provide support and understanding. Hope that helps.

I myself struggle with depression and have tried many of the above techs but the ones that have helped me the most came from RSD Julien; those are...1) practice gratitude, 2) embrace feeling negative (make it your armor), 3) take care of the basics(masterbation, exercise, healthy food;

Hello Okafor Princess, I will say that when somebody says, "Just be happy", that's the wrong thing to say. But if I may make my own long story short, I was healed of depression six years ago. I know that if God did that for me, then He can do it for you, too. There is hope and support.

You don't have to believe in a diety or other superstitions to get the same euthoric chemical release in you're brain, however, be careful of religious groups telling you to just be happy or that their rituals/belief will be the way out. Please trust medical PROFESSIONALS who have studied for years

Start with writing down when you are depressed, date, time, what you have on ect track as much infirmation of what depression looks like. 2nd write down all the emotions that you are feeling with depression that way you have a written record of what it feels like. I agree with a lot of the post here

Hey Jamie, it's good that you came here. as Lisa-Marie said, you should talk to a teacher or parent and they will probably refer you to your gp who will decide which steps should be taken next.

You will probably be offered some form of talking therapy such as cognitive behavioural therapy where you will be encouraged to challenge irrational thoughts. It might be difficult for you to talk to a teacher or parent about this but you definitely should.

Heeey Jamie good on you for being able to express yourself you are after all in a support group one think I can suggest that helped me is positive affirmations motivation speeches on YouTube in the morning it really helped me get out of bed and it helped though a low and stressful childhood

I've had that experience. What helped me get through my depression, was learning more about my situation. I stop questioning other things and got in touch with my own emotions and where they came from. Other's would call it self examination. The first thing I asked myself was how and why.
