Masjiene maak werk makliker

Aktiwiteit 1:

Om ’n verskeidenheid toestelle met mekaar te vergelyk

Masjiene is tegnologies-ontwerpte apparate wat werk kan verrig, veral deur energie van een vorm na ’n ander om te skakel.

  • Energie maak werk moontlik.
  • Werk is die oordrag van energie.
  • Die hoeveelheid energie wat aangewend word, is gelykstaande aan die hoeveelheid werkverrigting wat gelewer word.

Klein masjiene kan dus soms baie effektief die drywing doen waarvoor ons as mense bloot nie kans sien nie.

Wanneer jy egter elektriese toerusting koop wat vir jou werkverrigting moet gee, moet jy altyd na die kilowatt-drywing kyk. So sal jy kan bepaal of dit goeie werkverrigting sal gee.

Gaan vergelyk modelle en pryse by ’n groothandelaar. Let veral ook op na werkverrigting en maak ’n aanbeveling ten opsigte van wat jy kan koop.

  • Skryf ’n kort verslag hieroor.

Om eenvoudige meganiese toestelle in terme van kragte te kan bespreek

Elektrisiteit was in die verlede nie altyd vryelik beskikbaar nie en op baie gebiede maak ons steeds op eenvoudige, meganiese toestelle staat.

Kyk na die volgende sketse en bespreek in groepe hoe die volgende toestelle werk, waar krag toegepas moet word en waar die draaipunt op elk is.

fullerene is a bucky ball aka Carbon 60 molecule. It was name by the architect Fuller. He design the geodesic dome. it resembles a soccer ball.

That is a great question Damian. best way to answer that question is to Google it. there are hundreds of applications for buck minister fullerenes, from medical to aerospace. you can also find plenty of research papers that will give you great detail on the potential applications of fullerenes.

Yeah, it is a pain to say the least. You basically have to heat the substarte up to around 1000 degrees celcius then pass phosphene gas over top of it, which is explosive and toxic by the way, under very low pressure.
