15. VEELHOEKE

15.1 Het jy geweet?

Meetkundige vorms wat deur reguit lyne omsluit word, noem ons veelhoeke . Dit bestaan uit sye , hoeke en hoekpunte .

15.2 Het jy ook geweet?

’n Veelhoek is konveks as al die lyne wat enige twee hoekpunte verbind binne die veelhoek val.

Al die binnehoeke is skerp- of stomp-hoeke.

As enige lyn wat twee hoekpunte verbind buite ’n veelhoek val, is die veelhoek konkaaf.

Een of meer van die binnehoeke is ’n inspringende hoek.

15.3 Onthou ook!

’n Reëlmatige veelhoek se sye is almal ewe lank en die hoeke is almal ewe groot.

Hoe meer sye ’n reëlmatige veelhoek het, hoe groter is sy binnehoeke.

’n Onreëlmatige veelhoek se sye is almal verskillende lengtes.

15.4 LET WEL!

Ons kan die grootte van die hoeke van ’n reëlmatige veelhoek met behulp van ’n formule bereken:

Grootte van elke hoek =
(aantal sye – 2) × 180°
aantal sye

16.1 Werk saam met ’n maat. Kan julle sê wat elkeen van die volgende veelhoeke genoem word? Skryf die naam binne-in elke figuur.

17.1 Werk in groepe van drie. Sny stroke van stewige karton of gebruik roomys-stokkies. Maak gaatjies op die punte en heg die stroke met splitpennetjies. Bou ’n vierkant.

Vergelyk nou die vierkant met die ruit en kyk of julle die volgende kan voltooi:

  • Druk op die hoekpunt en verander dit in ’n ruit:

At high concentrations (>0.01 M), the relation between absorptivity coefficient and absorbance is no longer linear. This is due to the electrostatic interactions between the quantum dots in close proximity. If the concentration of the solution is high, another effect that is seen is the scattering of light from the large number of quantum dots.
