BOERE UIT DIE STEENTYDPERK

(a) Eendag sien jy hierdie kaart van die Suidwes-Kaap by die museum. Die hoof vra jou later om te help om die volgende vyf brokkies inligting op die kaart aan te bring:

KIES DIE SKETS WAT PAS, EN TEKEN DIT OP DIE REGTE PLEK OP DIE KAART.

b) Watter gebeure het heelwaarskynlik plaasgevind as die volgende voorwerpe tydens opgrawings in 'n grot naby Saldanhabaai gevind is?

Boere uit die ystertydperk

Meegaande kaarte toon hoe die Ystertydperkboere ons land teen 200 n.C. (omtrent dieselfde tyd as die Khoina) binnegetrek het. Hulle was veral landbouers en het reeds ystergereedskap gebruik. Hulle het veral die oostelike dele van ons land verkies weens die gunstige k vir oeste en die vrugbare d. Swart landbouers het veral met skape en bokke geboer en die grond bewerk. Vir 'n ekstra gewin is gejag en versamel. Daarom het hulle minder rondgetrek en op sekere plekke gebly. Beboste dele is ook skoongemaak vir akkerbou. Dié boerdery was harde werk. Teen 1000 n.C. het vroeë boere al hoe meer aandag begin gee aan beesboerdery en na grasvelde getrek. Veeboerdery was nou belangriker as akkerbou.

(d) Gebruik meegaande bronne, beantwoord die vrae wat volg en hou ‘n groepgesprek oor hoe die volgende ontwikkelinge ons land verander het:

  • veeteelt

  • akkerbou

Die swart landbouers was goed georganiseerd. So 'n groep het gewoonlik 'n aantal huisgesinne en families ingesluit. Hulle moes hul eie lede versorg - ook die bejaardes en siekes. Die leerder is in staat om ondersoekvaardighede te gebruik om die verlede en die hede te ondersoek.

Dit is duidelik wanneer die leerder:

1.1 bronne vind:

  • met leiding bronne kies wat nuttige inligting oor die verlede bevat;

1.2 met bronne werk:

  • inligting uit ‘n verskeidenheid van bronne opteken en kategoriseer;

1.3 vrae beantwoord:

  • volhou om inligting uit bronne te gebruik om vrae te beantwoord oor mense, gebeure, artefakte uit die verlede.

  • Hul was veral landbouers – het vee aangehou en die grond bewerk. Nuwe voedselsoorte is bekendgestel. Hout is met messe, byle, beitels verwerk tot huisgereedskap – soos melkemmers, skottels, stampblokke, lepels, tabakpype.
  • Ystererts is gesmelt vir wapens en landbou-implemente (bv. skoffelpikke). Sagte yster is gebruik vir versierings (armbande).
  • Verskillende tale: Nguni – (bv. Zoeloe, Sotho, Swazi, Ndebele) en Xhosa (bv. Sotho, Tswana, Venda) het ontwikkel.
  • Pottebakkery het daartoe bygedra dat potte gemaak is vir kook- en stoordoeleindes.
  • Al hoe meer nedersettings is met klip gebou. Mense het in groter groepe begin saamwoon en ‘n meer gevestigde leefwyse begin volg.

Vasvra:

Eers is die ystererts teen ‘n hoë temperatuur in ‘n hoogoond gesmelt om die yster en onsuiwerhede in die rots van mekaar te skei. Groot hoeveelhede houtskool is gebruik om oonde op die regte temperatuur te hou. Na die smeltproses is die yster, wat nou soos ‘n klonterige koek gelyk het, weer verhit. Dan is dit in die vorm van die gereedskap gesmee deur dit te hamer en te sny. Ashope word dikwels naby die hoogoonde gevind

fullerene is a bucky ball aka Carbon 60 molecule. It was name by the architect Fuller. He design the geodesic dome. it resembles a soccer ball.

That is a great question Damian. best way to answer that question is to Google it. there are hundreds of applications for buck minister fullerenes, from medical to aerospace. you can also find plenty of research papers that will give you great detail on the potential applications of fullerenes.

Yeah, it is a pain to say the least. You basically have to heat the substarte up to around 1000 degrees celcius then pass phosphene gas over top of it, which is explosive and toxic by the way, under very low pressure.
