Enige voorwerp is ‘n soort struktuur . Slaan in die verklarende woordeboek na wat die vetgedrukte woord beteken en skryf dit neer.

Opdrag 1

Wat is die nut van strukture?

Voltooi : (Kies uit die volgende moontlikhede: brug, ‘n kamer, mandjie, kartondoos vir appels, boekrak)

‘n Struktuur: a) bevat dinge, bv. _ en/of

b) beskerm dinge, bv. _ en/of

c) ondersteun dinge, bv. _ en/of

d) omsluit ‘n ruimte, bv. _ en/of

e) strek oor ‘n afstand, bv. _

‘n Huis is ‘n struktuur wat al bogenoemde funksies verrig. Dit bevat meubels, beskerm jou en jou besittings wat daarin bly, ondersteun die dak, omsluit ruimtes en strek oor ‘n afstand.

Opdrag 2

‘n Struktuur moet sy eie gewig en die las wat dit moet dra, kan ondersteun en nogtans sy vorm behou. ‘n Las kan ‘n voorwerp, ‘n persoon of ‘n krag wees. Wat is die las in elk van die volgende voorbeelde?

Hoe kragte op strukture inwerk

Watter invloed oefen kragte op strukture uit?

Opdrag 5

Watter twee kragte werk op strukture in?

  1. __ pers ‘n deel van ‘n struktuur saam deur te probeer omdie kante nader aan mekaar te druk.

Opdrag 6

Kragte wat op ‘n struktuur inwerk, kan die dele van die struktuur laat meegee

of vervorm. ‘n Deel se weerstand teen vervorming hang af van

a) die _ waarvan dit gemaak is,

b) sy _

c) sy _

d) en die _ waarop jy dit probeer buig.

Strukture moet _ , _ en _ wees sodat dit nie inmekaar stort of omval wanneer jy ‘n las daarop plaas nie.

Opdrag 7A

Kom ons ondersoek die vertikale sterkte van dopstrukture:

Opdrag aan die opvoeder:

Verdeel die klas in groepe. Deel aan elke groep ses A4-manillas van dieselfde dikte uit, asook ‘n blik met los spykers en ‘n plat stuk dik karton van 10 cm by 10 cm.

Opdrag aan elke groep:

Vou elke manilla soos wat in die sketse verduidelik word sodat dit ‘n blik met spykers daarin kan ondersteun. Ondersoek elke manier en besluit watter struktuur die swaarste las kan ondersteun. Die hoogte van jul struktuur moet die breedte van die manilla wees. Julle mag die manilla vou en op vyf plekke met maskeerband plak. Elke stuk maskeerband moet 5 cm lank wees. Die plat stuk dik karton moet op die struktuur geplaas word met die blik spykers bo-op. Kyk watter struktuur die meeste spykers kan ondersteun. Maak ‘n regmerkie by die skets van die struktuur wat die swaarste las kan ondersteun.

fullerene is a bucky ball aka Carbon 60 molecule. It was name by the architect Fuller. He design the geodesic dome. it resembles a soccer ball.
what is the actual application of fullerenes nowadays?
That is a great question Damian. best way to answer that question is to Google it. there are hundreds of applications for buck minister fullerenes, from medical to aerospace. you can also find plenty of research papers that will give you great detail on the potential applications of fullerenes.

Mostly, they use nano carbon for electronics and for materials to be strengthened.

Yeah, it is a pain to say the least. You basically have to heat the substarte up to around 1000 degrees celcius then pass phosphene gas over top of it, which is explosive and toxic by the way, under very low pressure.

anybody can imagine what will be happen after 100 years from now in nano tech world
after 100 year this will be not nanotechnology maybe this technology name will be change . maybe aftet 100 year . we work on electron lable practically about its properties and behaviour by the different instruments
